If you're looking for a weapon, I'd strongly suggest a whip and/or the Dragon Scimitar. Monkey Madness is needed for the Dragon Scimmy and it does take time but it's certainly worth it to OSRS Gold train strength. Whip however is excellent for attacking and defense.

Dragon Defender is good (once you FINALLY get it). Also for a good set of gloves, I suggest doing RFD for Dragon/Barrows glove. The Mithril gloves, too, are extremely good. To get them you need to do Recipe for Disaster, and I highly recommend you to do it as high as you can...

I am constantly asking the similar question. In my opinion, slayer isn't anywhere near as effective as it was in the past (just observed what happened to the whips). Camping at abby demons for 75-125+ kills for the possibility of a 900k-1.5mil drop? Now for a 3mil drop would be a bit different.

Slayer is a fun method to develop melee-related skills so if you plan on engaging in training, do it. It's an excellent way to break up the monotony of training on a single monster. Someone who doesn't have 85 Slayer, Abby whips are only 1 in 540 not the 125 kills you can get camping. The primary profit in Slayer isn't from the huge drops, it's the little ones adding up over time along with clues when you use these and smart herb runs between tasks.

Well your right, I do not have the 85 slayer. But that doesn't mean that I don't know a thing or two about it. There have been reports that a whip didn't drop in the 4-6 hours of continuous slaying. The fact of Buy RS 3 Gold the matter is that the whip has an extremely rare drop. Any help website that you visit will indicate it as one.
