Nicole and her husband Andrew began their relationship as friends. As Nicole described, "he was funny, cute, friendly—and all-around great, sociable guy." He complimented Nicole's a little more introverted personality, and as time passes, the 2 discovered that their friendship was growing deeper. Nicole discovered that she didn't want or need just as much time to herself as she had previously; she desired to spend it by using Andrew.

First and foremost, Nicole's favorite area of the wedding was marrying Andrew. Beyond that, it had been all about the love—celebrating using their closest friends and family, seeing the smiling faces of their guests.

It was the very first dress Nicole tried on. When she walked out of the fitting room she was filled with happy tears—this was the gown for her. "It helped me feel beautiful," Nicole said. A self-described "picky" person with regards to style, the truth that Nicole's wedding dress was the very first she tried on made the whole experience much more meaningful.

The otherwise non-traditional couple served a conventional feeltimes wedding cake, which helped give a classic vibe to the reception.
