These monthly gatherings will help Miami startups and entrepreneurs understand the opportunities and challenges of launching and growing a business. Brainfood is presented by The LAB Miami and Endeavor Miami and takes place at The LAB Miami in Wynwood, generally on the last Tuesday of each month. Most recently, he was the Co-Founder and CEO of YouVisit, an immersive technology company, which under his leadership grew to become an industry leader and was acquired in December 2019 by EAB and Vista Equity Partners, one of the world’s largest and most prestigious Private Equity firms. Abi holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a scholar for the National Society of Hispanic MBAs. He is a fervent advocate of youth entrepreneurship, and proud to be an Endeavor Entrepreneur. Matt Hagman (Moderator) Matt was an award-winning journalist at The Miami Herald and Daily Business Review, Miami Program Director at Knight Foundation and, most recently, a candidate for U.S. Congress. As Miami program director, he launched Knight Foundation’s initiative aimed at building Miami’s startup and entrepreneurial community. Over nearly six years, Matt led $28 million in investment to launch programs including Endeavor Miami, The Idea Center at Miami Dade College, 500 Startups, Babson WIN Lab, eMerge Americas, Black Tech Week and LaunchCode South Florida, among many others. Previously, Matt was an award-winning journalist. He initially covered legal affairs for the Daily Business Review before moving to The Miami Herald, where he spent nearly eight years covering real estate, local government and worked as an investigative reporter. Awards include the Gerald Loeb Award, the highest honor in business journalism. Matt serves on the boards of Endeavor Miami, New World Symphony and U.S. Global Leadership Coalition Florida Advisory Committee. Most recently, he was a candidate for U.S. Congress.
